The sedimentary successions of SE France expose thick and well-exposed marl-limestone alternations, some of them displaying a cyclical pattern. The ammonite record is overall abundant and diverse.

Wheater requirements: Weather is usually nice and warm in SE France in July, temperatures can attain 30 °C or more, rain is unusual. All localities are of quite easy access, but attendees have to be equipped with trekking shoes and long trousers in order to walk over small distances in the field. |
